ACCOUNTANCY FOR AUTÓNOMOS IN SPAIN

Help with a notice from Hacienda

If you have received a request from Spain’s tax authority, gather the full notice and speak to a Finlai advisor about your case. Pricing depends on your situation.

Tell us what you received and what you need help with.

Start with the information you have

  1. 01

    Find the full notice

Keep the full document, its attachments and the date you received or accessed it to hand. Note the deadline stated in the notice. This helps you explain the situation using the actual document rather than a summary alert.

  2. 02

    Explain the background

Tell us which tax and period are mentioned, whether you have already replied and who handled your accounts. Make a note of missing invoices or receipts so the advisor can understand what information is available.

  3. 03

    Discuss the help you need

Discuss the notice and documents with the advisor. Confirm which actions would be handled and the price. If you already use Finlai, ask your advisor how this case relates to your current service first.

Support shaped around your situation

If Finlai already handles your accounts
Your advisor can review what you received and which records for the period are already in your accounts. Distinguish that consultation from any specific work the notice requires: its scope and price depend on the case.
If another accountant handled the period
Gather the returns, accounting records and supporting documents for that period. Explain what your previous accountant holds and what you have yourself. You can discuss a notice with us even if it concerns a period before you joined Finlai.
If you run several activities or employ staff
Mention all your business activities and whether you have employees. Finlai supports autónomos with several activities; those with employees use the Premium plan. Work on a tax notice is priced case by case.

Finlai does not serve the Basque Country or Navarre. For a tax inspection, penalty proceeding or appeal, consult a specialist in that procedure.

Before you ask for help

How much does help with a tax notice cost?

Pricing is case by case. Explain the notice, the period covered and the documents you have to discuss the scope and cost. This page does not set a fixed fee or include this service in a monthly subscription.

How long do I have to reply?

The deadline depends on the notice and procedure. Check the deadline in your notice with your advisor. The Spanish guide below explains what to look for. Contacting Finlai is not the same as submitting a response to Hacienda.

Does this guarantee Hacienda will accept my response?

The outcome depends on the case. An advisor’s review helps clarify the notice and the work needed; Hacienda decides whether to accept a response. If you have already submitted documents, keep the submission receipt and later communications.

Discuss your case with a person

Start by telling us what you received. Keep the notice handy so you can explain the tax, period and stated deadline. Describe your situation in the contact form; you can share documents later through a channel agreed with the team.
